This blog predates Jack Swagger's gimmick shift by a year. I named it after Hulk Hogan's entrance theme.

Real American Wrestleblog Live Reactions – Extreme Rules 2015 – Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus – Kiss Me Arse Match

Dolph Ziggler takes on Sheamus in a “Kiss Me Arse” match and I’m pretty sure there will be no actual puckering up and kissing of the rump, but it is the WWE and anything can happen.

The two trade shoves and punches and the match goes out to the floor early where Ziggler does a very good Tornado DDT off the ring steps and to the floor.  Not as good as the Tornado DDT we just saw from Ambrose and Harper, but it was still a solid unexpected bit of offense.  Sheamus gets a Brogue Kick in the corner soon after going back into the ring and Sheamus goes to the floor and drags Ziggler’s head out over the side of the ring and clubs him a few times.  Back in the ring and Sheamus goes into the wear down offense.  Seems a bit early in the match for the catch your breath offense, but whatever.  Ziggler fights back and goes for the Fameasser, but Sheamus counters into a Powerbomb, pretty well done.  Ziggler oversells like he can barely get up and Sheamus knocks him back down.  Sheamus has to pull Ziggler back up again and this time he hits a very high impact Short-arm Clothesline.  Back to the wear down / catch my breath offense again.  Ziggler fights back and goes on a series of limited offense that Sheamus no sells and then knocks him down with a Double Axe-handle to the face.  Sheamus tries for the Irish Cloverleaf, but Ziggler counters.  Ziggler pops up and goes for a Superkick, but it’s blocked and Sheamus knocks him down and this time successfully applies the Cloverleaf.  Ziggler struggles to get out and counters into a Small Package for a near fall.  Connects with the Superkick for another near fall.   JBL has been solidly behind Sheamus this match.  Back and forth, Sheamus hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker – Cole called it the Irish Curse, but the Irish Curse is a Yurinagi Backbreaker, not a Tilt-a-Whirl.  Sheamus hits a few more moves and calls for the Brogue Kick.  Dolph counters into a Schoolboy for another near fall.  Sheamus Sidewalk Slam near fall.  Sheamus goes for one of those toss Suplexes, but Dolph counters into a Small Package and gets the three count.  Dolph gets the win for a pleasant surprise.  I was expecting Sheamus to win this one.  Sheamus is beside himself.  His hair is severely screwed up.

Sheamus tries to argue that it wasn’t a three count, is refusing to go through with the stipulation.  Dolph taunting as he starts to undo his trunks and pull out his ass.  Sheamus starts to leave, but doesn’t.  This is just stupid to me.  This isn’t wrestling.  Who wants to see this?  Dolph gives himself a wedgie and Sheamus gets down on one knee, but still doesn’t go through with it.  Sheamus finally gets into position and then delivers a Low Blow instead and then the Brogue Kick and smiles about it and acts like he won.  I didn’t really want him to go through with it, but it’s somehow even worse that he didn’t.  Sheamus then puts Ziggler’s unconscious face up against his own ass.  It would have ruined any of Sheamus’ credibility to have actually gone through with it, but the match should have never had such a lame stipulation to begin with.
